Call to publish scientific articles that will be received between June 20 and November 20, 2019, referring to:

University Pedagogy: With topics such as public policies in higher education, legislative system and reforms, academic programs, comparative policies, massification processes, quality assurance, legal professions, and others in higher education as a general field, referring to the Chilean and international context .

Didactics of Law: With topics whose centrality is related to processes of innovation, learning, curriculum, innovations, teaching experiences, students and teachers characterization , among others in legal education in the Chilean and international context.

Ethical and citation standards (Chicago-deusto) must be taken care of, in addition to the originality of the research or innovation.

The materialization, in Brazilian educational law, of the duty to educate for citizenship in the scope of university education: An overview of cross-cutting themes

Abstract

This article is the result of an exploratory, documentary research on the following problem: how does university education, by its rules, materialize the constitutional duty, referred to in article 205, to prepare for being a citizen? Its main objective, therefore, is to demonstrate how Brazilian law materializes the obligation of education for citizenship in the context of university education. Therefore, with an overview of education for citizenship at the beginning of Brazilian citizenship, which culminates with education for Brazilian citizenship, the best strategy to materialize the themes of education for citizenship in Brazil, the best strategy to materialize the themes of education for Brazilian citizenship Based on various norms, born within or outside the educational law. From this perspective, it brings each of these themes, allowing the analysis at the end of a panoramic view on the material perspective, in the constitutional scope of Brazilian university education, of the duty to prepare for being a citizen.

Horácio Wanderlei Rodrigues , Universidade Federal do Rio Grande

Doctor and master in law from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. He has post-doctoral internships in Philosophy at the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos and in Education at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He is a visiting professor at the Postgraduate Program in Law and Social Justice at the Federal University of Rio Grande and full professor (retired) of the Department of Law at the Federal University of Santa Catarina and founding member of the National Council for Research and Postgraduate Studies in Law and the Brazilian Association of Law Teaching. He is also a member of the Instituto Iberomericano de Derecho Procesal and a research productivity fellow from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development. Carlos André Birnfeld, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande

Doctor of Law (Law, State and Society) and Master of Law (Philosophy of Law and Politics) from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. He is a professor of Administrative Law at the Federal University of Rio Grande and an ad hoc consultant to the Ministry of Education, in the area of Educational Law. Founding member of the Brazilian Law Teaching Association and the Association of Environmental Law Teachers of Brazil. Researcher and author of books and articles in Educational Law.
