This article gives an overview about the so-called multiperiodality of the working day, which is notably extended in the Italian and European law. On the other hand, it will examine the regulation of the working day in Peru, taking into consideration its historical background, definitions in the literature, as well as its reception in the Constitution. The aim is to show the difference between the regulation of the above mentioned legal institution and its application in reality. Here will be proposed to apply the multiperiodality of the working day in Peru, where it might be appropriate in dealing with the problem of labour informality.
