The article proposes an analysis of the impacts of automation on the work environment. The research seeks to investigate how the performance of repetitive and prescriptive activities by machines can be protective to human workers. Therefore, we have the following research question: can automation in the work environment be a generator of psychosocial health? The proposed analysis is developed considering the perception of work as intrinsic to the realization of the social being, as well as in attention to the concepts of pleasure and suffering of the worker from the psychodynamics of work. Furthermore, to answer the main question, bibliographical research is used, as well as the method hypothetical-deductive of approach and sociological of interpretation.
