The premise of the employment relationship is subordinate work for others, whose understanding has always requireed efforts from labor law instructors since its inception. This reveals the problem to be faced in this research, which is, to what extent can the redefinition of the concept of subordination expand labor protection? It is worth noting that the objective of this study is to analyze how vulnerability can be weighed to identify the subordination in employment contracts, in order to expand the scope of its meaning and contributing to the construction of a truly free and fair society. It is concluded that the concept of subordination requires a resizing in the current stage of capitalism to achieve the ends of labor law, which can be achieved through the introjection of employment vulnerability into its core.
